Мрачну страну савременог друштва и недавна дешавања чији смо сведоци на добар начин описује цитат Бодидарма: „Неуки ум, са својим бесконачним невољама, страстима и злима, укорењен је у три отрова: похлепа, бес и заблуда”.

Похлепу видим у константној потреби да проширујемо обрадиве површине и користимо све веће количине вештачког ђубрива и пестицида са циљем константног повећања приноса. Бес осетим када су усеви угрожени услед присуства штеточина, чије присуство делом сами повећавамо смањењем равнотеже у екосистему, и за крај, заблуда је да ће ови проблеми, након непрописних мера постављања различитих отрова, бити решени.

Србија, а посебно Војводина, се суочава са великим проблемом тровања птица, али наша земља није једина. На глобалном нивоу константно се говори о неопходности решавања проблема прекомерне употребе пестицида, али иако су приметни одређени помаци, они нису довољни како би заштитили угрожене популације птица, али и других дивљих животиња које су изложене тровању.

Војводина је једна од црних тачака када је реч о тровању птица које своје станиште проналазе у близини обрадивих површина. Пре неколико недеља, светом је одјекнула вест о преко 800 мртвих птица које су пронађене у близини села Накова у Војводини.

Ово није први случај масовног тровања птица на овом подручју. Ако само погледамо недавних пар година, пронаћи ћемо случајеве тровања:

  • 2016. године пронађена су тела орлова белорепана и мишара у околини Апатина;
  • 2019. у атару села Ново Орахово пронађене су 2 еје мочварице (строго заштићена врста), четири гачца, једна сврака (заштићена врста) и три домаћа голуба;
  • 2022. године у околини  Бачког Петровца пронађено је шест мишара, четири гаврана, три еје мочварице, и орао белорепан који су угинули услед тровања, као и један отрован орао крсташ у близини Кикинде;
  • 2024. године у Накову пронађено је преко 400 гачаца (ловостајем заштићена врста) и преко 300 чавки (заштићена врста).

Зашто и како долази до тровања птица?

Интеракције између човека и дивљих животиња често резултирају негативно по животиње уколико је до њих дошло услед угрожавања ефикасности човекових активности. Иако птице не угрожавају принос директно, патогени (попут гљива и других микроорганизама), велике звери, глодари и инсекти често наносе штету усевима, а најзастуљеније решење овог проблема је примена пестицида, од којих многи нису селективни и токсично делују и на корисне врсте. Интензитет тровања зависи од токсичности пестицида и бројних других карактеристика – растворљивости у води, примењене количине, учесталости, времена и начина прскања, временских прилика, структуре вегетације и типа земљишта. 

Утицај пестицида може бити директан или индиректан (преко извора хране или станишта), а птице су им изложене на различите начине.

1. Тровањем извора хране применом високотоксичних инсектицида, родентицида, фунгицида и хербицидима, који након ингестије имају токсичан ефекат и на птице и могу довести до стрмог пада бројности популације. 

Најчешће коришћене супстанце су: 

  • карбамати (карбофуран – иако је законом забрањен, доступан је на црном тржишту и велики број пута одговоран за тровање птица у Србији);
  • органофосфати (хлорпирифос, диазинон, изофенфос, малатион, мевинфос, форат);
  • антикоагулантни родентициди (бромадиолон, бродифакум, дифенакум);
  • алфахлоралоза.

Лешинари и грабљивци су најподложнији страдању услед постављања отровних мамаца, који се и поред тога што су законом забрањени и даље употребљавају. Доводе до локалног и регионалног изумирања, а истовремено спречавају повратак и опоравак одређених врста. Један од примера су орлови крсташи, од којих је у Србији остало само 5 гнездећих парова. 2019. године је једна јединка постала жртва тровања и пре него што је достигла полну зрелост.

Угинуће великог броја птица, као што је случај са недавним тровањем у близини Накова, може имати изражене последице на екосистем, али и на самог човека. 

Гачци и чавке имају значајну улогу у екосистему у елиминацији штетних организама са обрадивих површина. Елиминацијом већег броја предатора, који контролишу бројност врста на нижим нивоима ланца исхране, јавља се неравнотежа у екосистему и долази до пренамножавања пленских врста (инсеката, глодара итд.). Такође су значајни и за друге врсте птица, као што су сове, које користе њихова празна гнезда за подизање својих младих. Услед тога, губитак ових врста може негативно утицати на репродукцију других врста птица или их принудити да напусте позната станишта.

2. Применом инсектицида и хербицида широког спектра смањују се извори хране за птице и сисаре, што може резултирати смањењем бројности популација, посебно ако је загађење присутно током периода размножавања, када је доста врста најосетљивије на мањак ресурса.

3. Постоји велики број пестицида који се акумулирају у ланцу исхране и доводе до различитих ендокриних поремећаја и представљају дугорочни ризик за друге врсте.

4. Примена хербицида може узроковати промену структуре вегетације и настанак непримерених станишта за одређене врсте. На пример, доказано је да је биодиверзитет бројних врста повећан када су обрадиве површине омеђене дивљом вегетацијом.

5. Иако се тровања догађају унутар граница земаља, његови ефекти могу се одразити негативно и на популације врста у другим земљама. Многе врсте су миграторне, због чега је могуће да јединка поједе отров у једној земљи, прелети у другу, угине и постане извор тровања за јединке на другом подручју (секундарна тровања).

Да ли постоји решење?

Главна препрека решавању овог проблема је лака доступност великог броја пестицида, чија продаја није строго контролисана, као и мањак реакције институција на случајеве тровања, који су у Србији законом препознати као кривична дела са прописаном казном од 1.000 до 1.000.000 динара или затвором до три године. 

Неопходна је едукација и укључење шире јавности у ову проблематику, како би сви постали свесни изразитог негативног ефекта ових активности, као и помогли у њеном решавању кроз активну пријаву свих особа које врше недозвољене активности. Затим је неопходно укључивање правосуђа које ће осудити починиоце и поставити пример осталим појединцима који размишљају о примени истих метода. У циљу спречавања тровања насталих незнањем пољопривредника, потребно је увести едукацију о методама које могу користити како би смањили могућност контакта између третираних семена и птица које се хране семенима, као и значају које птице имају у заштити усева од глодара и инсеката.

Птице су изузетно значајни чланови ланца исхране, чиме одржавају функционалност целих екосистема. Штитећи њих, помажемо и себи, јер колико год се опирали и покушавали да се изместимо као супериорна врста која опстаје независно  од осталих, и даље смо само једна од мноштва врста у комплексној мрежи односа у екосистему и, као и све друге врсте, последице наших дела ћемо осетити и на сопственој кожи, пре или касније.
